Mr. Mu’tasem Dmour (L.L.M.) has served as an Executive Director of the Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP) since September 2005. He obtained a B.A. in Law from Jordan University in 2001 and an L.L.M. in International Law from Oxford Brookes University in 2002. Mr. Dmour served as a Business Legal Regulator at Jordan Modern Group for International Trade and Local Investments, and as an International Registration Registrar with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervises the Society to ensure promoting ASIP according to its objectives
• Puts efforts to build capacities and technical abilities of IP professionals
• Communicates , on a regular basis with ASIP members, IPR professionals, and government officials regarding new developments in IP at the regional and international levels, activities of ASIP, and any newly amended or newly developed IP laws
• Disseminates ASIP’s mission broadly at the local, regional and international levels
• Holds [organizes? Manages?] seminars, conferences and develops educational programs
• Activates new working committees and monitors their work
• Supervises the preparation of the monthly bulletin
• Keeps up with the latest international developments in the Intellectual Property field
• Manages ASIP's administrative and financial affairs
• Controls technical issues through ASIP's committees
• Develops the structure and activities of Arab Intellectual Property Mediation and Arbitration Center (AIPMAS) in cooperation with the Executive Committee and Deputy Manager
